Some common Technical Issues you can solve on your own

There are some technical issues that are solved by a simple reboot of the network with Vonage Phone service.

If you have no dialtone. Tech support will walk you through steps that will take 20 minutes to try everything, but the main thing that will correct these problems is a reboot! Takes 3 minutes.

To reboot your network.

  1. Unplug your modem, your Vonage Phone adapter and any routers that you may have.
  2. Plug in the Cable or DSL Modem first. Let it load.
  3. Plug in the Router or the Vonage (usually the Vonage is before the router)
  4. Plug in the Vonage or the Router *which ever is next in line

Test your phone. You should have a dial tone. If not, plug your computer directly into your cable modem or your DSL modem and see if you can get online. If you can NOT get online, call your Internet provider, your service is not working for the Internet, and if it's not working, your Vonage Phone service will not work.

Rebooting the network will correct many issues. Always try this first before calling Vonage tech support and going through many unnecessary steps.
